"Snow Eagle 601" Aircraft

"Snow Eagle 601", which model is American Basler BT-67, is China’s first fixed wing aircraft for polar investigation. The aircraft is equipped with advanced power, electronics and control systems, and has been modified according to the special requirements of polar operations, including double landing gears of wheel and sled, automatic deicing function, air conditioning and oxygen supply system. With its two HP PT6A-67R turboprop engines and advanced avionics system, the aircraft can take off and land in extreme environments such as temperatures of -50°C. The aircraft has a fuselage length of 20.45 m, a wingspan of 29.16 m, a cruising speed of 380 km/h, a maximum range of about 3440 km, a maximum takeoff weight of 13.6 tons, and can carry up to 18 passengers.
