Since 2009, China has equipped a Ka-32 helicopter named "Snow Eagle" with strong transportation support capacity for its polar scientific research. Ka-32 helicopter is equipped with two gas turbine engines. The aircraft is equipped with GPS locator and life-saving equipment.
